Koforidua Semper Fi will be looking to end their winless streak this Sunday when they face True Democracy in the Access Bank Division One League. Since their opening-day victory over Inter Allies, Semper Fi have struggled to replicate that success, with several close calls but no wins. In their most recent outing, they nearly clinched a victory against rivals Okwawu United, only to finish in a 1-1 draw in the Eastern Regional derby.

This weekend’s match against True Democracy will be held at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema Newtown, as the team temporarily relocates its home games to Accra. The move comes as their home stadium, the Koforidua Sports Stadium, undergoes maintenance.

Head coach Isaac Agyemang spoke about the team’s preparations, expressing optimism for a much-needed win. “We are prepared fully to win this match because we are not getting the win,” Agyemang said. “We play well on the pitch, but to get a win has been a problem. So, we have prepared so well to win against True Democracy this weekend.”

Agyemang also reached out to fans, asking for patience and continued support. “We know we are not happy with the results, but please be patient with us. We are working very hard at training, and we promise you that come Sunday, we will have a first home win for you to be happy. Please come to the stadium and support us as you’ve been doing, and this time around, we are going to make you proud.”
